The Phoenix Award recognizes South Trail personnel for cardiac arrest saves that result in the patient leaving the hospital alive. These personnel have shown exemplary medical skills that allowed the further extension of human life.
South Trail personnel have been credited for 37 Phoenix saves since 2008.
On December 16, 2016, at a countyside ceremony at the Harborside Event Center, eighteen (18)South Trail firefighters were recognized for their role in the following five cardiac arrest saves.
